James Guo – Violin

Profile

James Guo has been playing violin since the age of six, learning from various teachers while growing up in three different cities (Sydney, Shanghai and Beijing). He works as a Data Scientist for a supermarket giant, though he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney. whilst studying, he continued his passion for music at the Sydney University Symphony Orchestra (SUSO), where he acted as Concertmaster and Vice-President (where he also met Mitch and PitTan). Alongside with PitTan, James is also a committee member of the Modést Orchestra, acting as Outreach Program Manager and helps with day-to-day operations.

James spends his free time playing badminton (with Jess), running marathons funsure why he continues to sign up), playing ultimate frisbee (with Helaine), travelling to faraway places (often very spontaneously), and hiking out with nature.
